2008 Princess Cruises® Escape Matchmaker Sweepstakes NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. VOID OUTSIDE THE 50 UNITED STATES, THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, AND WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. To Enter: Complete the initial electronic entry form with all information requested. In addition (but not mandatory), answer some brief "escape" questions pertaining to the type of vacation you ("Entrants") see yourself taking. At the conclusion of the additional questions, Entrants will then be matched up with the perfect cruise experience ("Cruise Match Up"). If you are deemed a winner, you will win your Cruise Match Up. Entrants can play more than once, but only the most recent Cruise Match Up will be kept on record. If additional questions are not fully completed, but registration was completed, entrant will be assigned the 07 day Caribbean Cruise for two (2) (Cruise Prize #5 below) as their Cruise Match-Up. Entrants will be notified of their Cruise Match Up via e-mail to the address provided at the time of registration. Entry must be completed between Monday, June 02, 2008, 12:00:01 a.m. PST and no later than Tuesday, July 31, 2008, 11:59:59 p.m. PST (the "Sweepstakes Period") on the Sponsor's website located at www.princess.com/matchmaker ("Site"), where Entrant will be entered into the 2008 Princess Cruises® Escape Matchmaker Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes"). By entering, Entrant hereby agrees to have read and will be bound by the Sweepstakes' Official Rules and Regulations ("Rules") found at the Site, as well as the Privacy Policy of Sponsor found at http://www.princess.com/legal. For purposes of these Sweepstakes, "receipt" of an internet entry occurs when Sponsor's servers record the entry information resulting from the Entrant clicking the "Continue" button. Automated entries (including but not limited to entries submitted using any robot, script, macro, or other automated service) are not permitted and will be disqualified. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. All winners ("Winners") must meet the eligibility requirements set forth in these Rules in order to qualify for the prize. One (1) entry per person/email address by all method of entry combined. Sponsor is not responsible for any failure of its website during the Sweepstakes Period, including any telephone problems or technical malfunction of any computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received on account of traffic congestion on the internet or at the website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from downloading any material related to the Sweepstakes, all of which may affect a person's ability to participate in the Sweepstakes. Notwithstanding that there are 10 possible Cruise Match Ups, only 5 Cruise Prizes will be awarded. Total approximate retail value of all prizes: up to $42,000.00. Cruise includes an unobstructed oceanview stateroom with double occupancy accommodations for up to two (2) persons, all regular onboard meals and entertainment, applicable government fees and taxes for cruise only. Cruise must be completed by December 31, 2009 or prize will be forfeited. Any difference between stated and actual value will not be awarded. TRAVEL TO AND FROM EMBARKING OR DISEMBARKING PORTS IS NOT PROVIDED BY SPONSOR AND IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF WINNER. All ground transportation, shore excursions fees, discretionary hotel and dining charges, meals in alternate dining venues, alcoholic beverages, boutique purchases, and any other incidental costs or other expenses not specifically set forth herein are the sole responsibility of Winner. All reservations and cruise arrangements including, without limitation, the dates, times, and airline choice are at the sole discretion of Princess Cruises®. All cruises must be taken during the time period specified; no alternative cruise dates are available or Prize will be forfeited. All Prize details are subject to availability and restrictions such as blackout dates including holidays (e.g. Monday, November 24 - Sunday, November 30, 2008; Monday, December 22 - Sunday, January 04, 2009; Monday, November 23 - Sunday, November 29, 2009; Monday, December 21 - Sunday, January 03, 2010) may apply. Winners and Cruise Guest must cruise on same itinerary. Cruise Guest must (or Cruise Guest's parent or legal guardian if Cruise Guest is an eligible minor in his/her state/province of residence) sign and return a cruise/publicity release before any ticketing of cruise occurs. Winners and Cruise Guest must have all necessary identification and/or cruise documents (including but not limited to a valid passport or other documents) required for cruise. No cash redemptions. Prize is non-transferable, cannot be substituted (except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor who reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value), and may not be sold or combined with any other offer. If Prize is cancelled for any reason, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. All applicable federal, state and local taxes on the Prize are the sole responsibility of Winners. Winners will receive an IRS Form 1099 for the ARV of Prize and be solely responsible for applicable taxes or other fees, including but not limited to all federal, state and local income taxes connected to the prize. WHO MAY ENTER: THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS OPEN ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE 50 UNITED STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, WHO ARE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER. In addition, the following persons are not eligible to enter the Sweepstakes: (a) employees of Princess Cruise Lines, Ltd. ("Sponsor"), its parent and their subsidiaries, officers or employees; (b) officers, employees or agents of any organizations directly involved with this Sweepstakes, including any co-Sponsor of the Sweepstakes; (c) immediate family members (parent, child, sibling and spouse of each) and persons living in the same household as the persons identified in (a) and (b) above. Selection of Winners: Each Winner will be determined in a random drawing of all eligible entries received. Drawing will take place on or about Tuesday, August 12, 2008. Drawings to be conducted by an independent judging organization, whose decisions are final and binding in all regards. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Claiming Prize: Unclaimed prize will not be awarded. As a condition of winning the Prize, the Winners must complete, sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability and Publicity Release ("Document"), where permitted by law, and any other applicable forms required by a taxing authority, within fourteen (14) days of receipt of written prize notification, or Prize will be forfeited. Further, by accepting the Prize, the Winners consent to Promotion Parties (defined herein) use (or non-use) of Winners and Winners Cruise Guest's name, photograph and/or likeness, address, voice, and statements made by or attributed to them, in perpetuity, in any and all media now known or hereafter developed (including, without limitation, print, broadcast and internet), for all legitimate business purposes including advertising and promotional activities and media and other activities and communications, without additional compensation in their sole discretion, unless prohibited by law, without compensation. In case of dispute as to the identity of any online entrant, entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time of entry. As used in this Sweepstakes, "Authorized Account Holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned an email address by an internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) responsible for assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address. Any potential Winners may be requested to provide Sponsor with proof that such Winners are the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the winning entry. Notification: Winners will be notified by telephone at the telephone number and mailing address provided by Entrant. Any received documents must be returned within fourteen (14) days of first attempted notification or Prize will be forfeited. If any correspondence from the Sponsor or any prize is returned as undeliverable, the corresponding Prize will be forfeited. Sponsor is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate entry information, human error, technical malfunction, failures, omission, interruption, deletion, or defect of any telephone network, computer on-line systems, computer equipment, servers, access providers, or software, including, but not limited to, any injury or damage to participants' or any other persons' computers relating to or resulting from participation in this promotion; inability to access the entry websites or any pages thereof; theft, tampering, destruction, or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries; entry submissions that are processed late or incorrectly or are incomplete, illegible, garbled, or lost due to computer or electronic malfunction or traffic congestion on the Internet or any website. Privacy: Sponsor will be collecting personal data about Entrants in accordance with its Privacy Policy, which is attached to these Official Rules and Regulations. By participating in the Sweepstakes, Entrants hereby agree to the collection and use of their personal information and acknowledges that he/she has read and accepted the Sponsor's Privacy Policy at www.princess.com/legal. Choice of Law and Forum: Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Sweepstakes and all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Rules shall take place in Los Angeles, California, U.S., in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflicts of laws principles, and shall be referred to and finally resolved by a single arbitrator appointed under the Rules, and in accordance with the procedures of the American Arbitration Association, which rules and procedures are deemed to be incorporated by reference into this clause. Release: As a condition of entry into the Sweepstakes, all entrants agree, and by accepting Prize, Winners agree, to release Princess Cruises® and its parent, affiliates, sister companies, directors, officers, employees, advertising and promotion agencies, suppliers, printers, and distributors (collectively "Promotion Parties") from and against any and all liability, claims, costs, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses of property which may be sustained in connection with submitting an entry or otherwise participating in the Sweepstakes, receipt, ownership or use of any Prize awarded, including but not limited to any travel related thereto, or any typographical or other error in these Rules or the announcement of offering of any prize. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to void suspect entries and/or modify, terminate or suspend this Sweepstakes (or any portion thereof) should fraud or any unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Sweepstakes. Under no circumstances shall Entrants be permitted to obtain awards for, and Entrants hereby waive all rights to claim, punitive, incidental or consequential damages, or any other damages, including attorneys' fees, and Entrants further waive all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
